Resolutions, resolutions, resolutions…this is the theme of the New Year. The new year brings a fresh start and everyone is excited about change.

The top three resolutions are:

1. Get In Shape and Lose weight

2. Quit Smoking

3. Write A Will

While resolutions are important, they often fade away quickly. So, instead of singing the same old song, try these simple tips for success this year!

3 Tips for Successful Resolutions:    

Prioritize – Some resolutions require things that need immediate action. Prioritize these items and complete them within the first 60 days of the year. Get it out of the way and cross it off your list. The resolutions that require a process will take more time, so PLAN the improvement steps for measurable outcomes and begin the process.

Be realistic – Set realistic deadlines for your resolutions. In many cases, procrastination decreases the probability of implementation.

Be Specific – What are the details for the goals and the outcomes? Think about how the change will affect you and all aspects that are involved in your goal.
